After a recent visit to APIS, for their paranormal fair, we got a glimpse of some of their equipment. excellent stuff.
One idea i particulalry like. the strobe light.
simple enuff you, might say, but think about it...

Our medium friends tell us that we are of a 'different vibration' to casper and his friends. suggesting that either we, or they, or in ded both of us, have difficulty seeing the other as we are out of step...

using a strobe light with a variable speed controller, so we can change the speed of 'on-offs' to try to at least tune into a harmonic of their speed, might assist us in seeing them, or appearing TO them.

example... how many of you have cieling fans.. turn one on at top sped.. se how the blades become a blur... by using a strobe light you can cause the light to be on, when a blade is at a certain position, and off when the blade is moved, and onn when the blade is in the same position again..
this will cause the blade to appear stopped in one position.... we have brought it in line with our ability to see..

now, obviously the strobe will never be able to flash AT the speed or vibration of Casper.. cos.. if it did, the light would disappear...
( we cant see casper so we wont se a light at the same vibration/ speed..

what we CAN do is work at an harmonic OF that speed..

lets see... hmmm if the cieling fan spun at 25 times a second ( it wont.. cos thats fast lol) and we had our strobe set for 25 times a second the blads will appear stationalry and clear.
if the speed is 50 cycles per second, aimed at a fan spinning 25 times a second... the blade will be visible but slightly blurry as every second flash will display blank cieling... you are now looking at an harmonic sped of 2 to 1

if the blade was spinning at 200 times a second ( blooming fast!!!) and your stobe was set at 50 times a second you ae looking at an harmonic of 1to 4 you would see the blade every 4th cycle.. looking clear still but again blurred as the blade will move do fast that it is out of the light before the light goes off.

Personally I suggest that Casper must be at an extremely high vibration as so few of us can see him. so if at our highest strobe speed we only get a light hint of an image due to REALLY stretching the idea of harmonics i would be over the moon..

Adding different coloured LED emiters might help tune it in, as light colors are also at different light frequencies.. ( unbelievably fast cycles).

Infra red, would let us then use our night sight cameras to record any image revealled.

What do we need?

well a fast strobe light.

the one i built was stupidly slow.

ideas please where to get an
LED strobe where we can vary the speed of the flash. santa << might get me one

Thanks Tony, I bought the first one you listed, but i suspect it will be slow, i may be able to tweak it a little.. and possibly change the LED's for INFRA red or UV leds.

The second one you listed used standard bulbs.. ( like a common light bulb. thus it works on the heated wire of the incandescent bulb, thus it cannot flash any faster than 3 per second ( despite it being advertised as 10 per second. which is impossible as the wire could not cool between flashes and would thus appear permanantly on at that speed. ) thanks tho..
i have also orderdd parts from maplins to construct and adapt a strobe kit.. should be able to get to 50+ per second.

Well after months of testing, and experimenting...

  1. I can give myself a headache on command.
  2. some freaky almost images do seem to be there, nothing recordable.
  3. i do not recommend trying this more frequently than once a week.

Headaches.. yup, sit in a darkened room, with a strobe firing off, you can trim the frequency till you can cause a headache.. which i think is bloody dangerous unless we know WHY this is so. ( Epilepsy can be triggered by strobe so we know strobe can screw with the brain.) if you get a headache mark that frequency as out of bounds.

peripheral vision sems to be picking up things, almost things, not anything you can describe, partial images, little bit scary, but, remembering my earlier comment.. strobe screws with the brain... is this an advance? or more brain screwing... I am continuing.. and asking and calling out, and doing all them things to se if i can get a link..
This is something i would like to do with the group.. with the option to drop out should they need to.

repetition of the experiment des not seem a great idea. i find once a week as on the maximum frequency i would try this.

Also i recomment facing the light AWAY from the subject ( yourself) so you get bounced light. less painful/ damaging than direct strobe.

and not a pitch dark room, as you cannot make out what is room and what is casper if you can only see in the flashes.

who's up for a try?

Yeah..... Im up for that so put me in the chair and wire me up lol!

I also think we should start doing more experiments as a team.

i would like to do an evening of experiments in one of our tame locations... (not an overnight, is a bit of overkill) maybe in that room.... the blue light room, on the anniversary of "THE HISTORICAL EVENT".

or maybe the "raymond fall down " room....
doing strobe, seance, life machine, and a really silly looking hat connected to an oscilloscope that only so far gives a reading if you look at porn...Is a difficult job, but we manage. (wondering if it gives readings when psychic stuff is going on....if so has i developed a "medium" tester?......more advanced even than the ducking stool? (i said DUCKING"..)

ps re the strobe... thanks for volounteering guys.. but .. as this machine screws with the brain, a brain is required.... sorry Tony.. (HEEEE HAAAA loooool)

talk soon..

pps the anniversary date is september 10th a weekday...
let us know who's interested.. say 8 till 11?
your thoughts.....

Yeah I'm up for that, as a suggestion though maybe finish at 10 to allow more sleep time before starting work?
